Let's Get Healthy!!


Summer is here, it is so lovely outside, beautiful sun beaming on your glowing tanned skin, you look gorgeous in your new bikini, ready to hit the beach.  Your hair feel fresh, less styling, less frizz.  You can wear minimal makeup and still look beautiful. . .

IF ONLY. . .

We could all live in that fairy tale.  Summer is here, i am whiter than a vampire, my heels can grate stuff, my awesome winter flobby fat is bouncing around and peeling out of my (i could swear it fitted last summer) full body costume.  You feel like you want to buy a full-on diving suit, with a snorkel and just hide under water, so no one has to see you.

THE WAY YOU PERCEIVE YOURSELF:


Most woman will hide the fact that they are scared to death of summer showing skin time.  This is the time you find lots of woman (and men) on diets and daily jogging runs, or more dedication to the gym.  But if you just adjust your lifestyle with a tiny tweak this will not be happening.  Most diets half starve you to death, you try and push for the month, give up half way through, feel like a failure and comfort yourself with a lekker piece of cake.  Other diets say you need to eat portions of everything, just in small amounts.  All the healthy fats and healthy sugars, with the big amounts of vegetables and steamed fish, grilled chicken.  This sounds so much easier, if you just read on the labels when you buy food.  So you need to first read up on all the healthy ingredients and then do a 5 hour shopping trip to first read every label of every product you want to buy, and I mean, everybody has 5 hours to just waist, reading labels, right?

So how to go about it then?  My best advice, go little by little and you can choose the pace.  Cold Turkey rarely works on anyone, only a handful are successful so understand from the get go, this might not work for you.

This applies with anything you tackle in life, but most of all for woman the loosing weight challenge and eating healthy lifestyle change.

When you decide you want to loose weight or eat healthy the best way to start is thinking about where you go wrong.  Are you eating right all week and then binge on weekends.  Do you in general get a snack attack at night?  Does your gym time and jog run magically disappear out of your schedule? 

Start by setting yourself weekly goals, but little goals, adding one thing at a time.  Whether it is adding some veggies everyday, doing 10 Squads a day, sucking in your tummy when walking through a door.  You can choose whatever you want to start off with, as this will set off the start in your mindset for change.  It is also a small start not to overwhelm you with an entire diet routine, or daily workout routine. After that week or 2 weeks, when you feel comfortable with the new change you move onto then next item on your list and try working it into your routine until you feel comfortable.  The chances of success is so much higher as you are concentrating on one thing at a time, making it so much easier for it to work and be successful.

Remember that if you don't stick yo your goal, you know you have to just extend the time period before moving onto the next goal.  You are in control of the schedule, the type of change you want to make, no one but you, so just be calm and believe in yourself.

Now read this again. . . 



Much less cluttered, much less pressure?  Because it is very easy and simple.  Simplify and you will succeed!  We would love to hear about your progress, what you chose first!!
